Bentley Mundle

Bentley Mundle is the eldest of Ben Doyle's grandchildren, and was raised on the Monterey Peninsula where he spent countless hours on the driving range at Quail Lodge with grandpa Ben. Bentley is the product of two golfing families, with his other grandfather being Pacific Northwest PGA Hall of Fame inductee Al Mundle. The question was never “would?” Bentley play golf but rather “when?” At a very young age, the golf course became a second home to Bentley as he learned to play and love the game of golf under the watchful eyes of his grandfathers.

During the summers in his college years, Bentley would come home to caddy at the Pebble Beach Resort courses and to work on his golf game with Ben. After graduation, Bentley worked as an assistant golf professional at Carmel Valley Ranch, and then moved to the Himalayas in 2008, where he was the Assistant Program Director for the Bhutan Youth Golf Association in the Kingdom of Bhutan. The BYGA is a free youth program modeled after The First Tee. As the only golf professional in the country, Bentley was responsible for organizing and conducting daily activities for the BYGA which included group lessons and tournaments for children, introducing and promoting the game of golf by speaking and giving clinics to schools around the country. Bentley also worked with the officers and wives of the Indian Army based in Bhutan, as well as some of the Bhutanese Royal Family, but one of Bentley's favorite groups to teach were the deaf students from the local school who came to see him on a weekly basis. After Bhutan Bentley returned to the United States and spent time in Eugene, Oregon working with his grandfather Al Mundle.

In 2011, Bentley moved back home to Monterey where he now teaches and works as the 1st Assistant Golf Professional at The Santa Lucia Preserve Golf Club, which is a national Top 100 Golf Course in Carmel Valley, CA. Bentley is passionate about helping his students enjoy the game that he loves. With The Golfing Machine based foundation, laid by hundreds of thousands of hours working with Ben Doyle, and through individual structural screenings, Bentley helps students find their own individual golf swing that allows them to be more efficient and successful golfers. Bentley is also a certified fitter for Edel Golf, a Texas based company that brings the most innovative, highest quality, and best performing products to the golf industry. As a result of getting individually custom made putters, wedges, and irons into his students' hands Bentley has seen a significant increase in the success and enjoyment of the game by his students.
